A performance by the side of

A performance with the Great Vikku Vinayakram, a guide and advisor to Balu, as well as a fellow band-mate in India's new fusion Supergroup, Brahma.

T.H. "Vikku" Vinayakram is a living legend of rhythm, a Grammy Award Winner, and has been an integral part of such musical legends as "SHAKTI" with John McLaughlin and Planet Drum, with Mickey Hart. Balu has looked up to him as a role-model and symbol of great artistry since childhood.

Balu has tried to be the best he can, and received much recognition for his efforts. His old group won two prestigious industry awards, the Billboard (through Star TV) and the Diva... The results of this windfall? It rocketed them to international stardom. Balu himself frowns upon too much recognition. "I am a simple performer," he says, "Whatever it is I just like to come home and be with my family and practise my tabla."
